USB Port (or general?) Power Problems

Go to solution Solved by nightmarevoid,

Try re-installing your motherboard drivers. If you got them from the disk, then they are probably broken or out of date. go to your motherboard manufacturers website and download and install your drivers one by one. if this does not work, try re-seating your USB and HD audio headers, as they may have come loose on the board. You might as well give switching which header your USB and front audio are connected to while you're at it.

Sometimes Randomly my Mouse and Keyboard (also Gamepads and stuff) stop working for a few seconds also i feel like the Audio Volume on my Headset drops when this happens, otherwise theres no visible problems, games work fine there is no (noticeable) FPS slowdown when it happens, also i think the fans work normally but i haven't really watched the fan speeds.

 -Win 8 64 Bit

-Z87-Expert (bios up to date, couldnt find the version number right now...)

-i5 4670k (no oc although i had it at around 4ghz for a while)

-Evga Geforce Gtx 770 Superclocked (Is at non Superclocked speed, didn't need it)

-Avexir Blitz 1600 2x4gb (green or i think it's called gigabyte sniper because it fits with the theme of that mainboard or something)

 -Superflower Leadex 80Plus Golden 750w

I don't think my hardrives are Relevant for this problem but if you think it has something to do with them ask me and i will look up wich one's i have exactly.

Thanks for your time.

Will try reinstalling, thanks. But i don't think it can be because of the Headers since my Mouse and my Keyboard are connected to the ports on the back of the mainboard.

It may be static. i have a rolling chair and a carpet floor. this was giving g me static issues like touching my mouse or keyboard would short them out and they would turn off momentarily. i fixed it by making a "ZAP Pad" its a piece of folded aluminum foil wired to the mettle leg of my desk. before ever touching my keyboard or mouse i touch it first and discharge any static build up. I haven't had any problems since.

I will do the best I can to help in any way. However I am not all knowing and realize that I can be wrong.
