can i run I7 3770

ImRyan

Hey guys I need some help I'm not sure if I will have overheating issues.

Current Specs

Coolermaster elite 311 blue case

Intel i5 3570 @ 3.4GHz

Asus P8Z77-V LK motherboard

8GB Kingston hyperx beast 2400MHz X.M.P (2 x 4GB kit) RAM

3GB R9 280x

1TB HDD 7200RPM

24x dual layer disk drive

Corsair 650W Enthusiast Series 80Plus bronze PSU

Corsair H60 Hydro Series CPU cooler

1x12cm extra black case fan

Can i run the i7 3770 with planty watts left on power supply and no overheating issues.

I have all fans that came with case and the extra fan mentioned above.

I'm upgrading because I do video editing in after effects and heavy gaming

The reason why I want to go with non k version is because I only have 650watt power supply and don't want upgrade power supply and have to deal with cable management again.

Unless I have to.

Also what's your thoughts on buying used 3770 from here.

i say change your cooler to a air cooler instead

no need for a CPU upgrade

clean your PC to remove dust buildup

that will affect your CPU temps

Your power supply can feed a 3770K fine, you might want to get one of those instead.

The 3770 will have pretty much the exact same wattage as your old cpu.

And also, a 650w is PLENTY for ANY overclocked CPU with 1 graphics card.

can I just say that Cooler Master case is a serious poo. How do I know? My sister has one. Actually I built her s ystem using that case because I thought it was decent. Cable management is non existent. Cooling is mediocre. I even doubt you can fit a H60 in there. But it is pretty solid. Please,I HIGHLY suggest you get another case. At least a corsair 300R.
