Need help!

every time i game for a large period of my time and my computer freezes up on me what should i do???

(i'm in Australia so the heat might be the problem since it's summer right now)

Hey,

Same thing was happening to me i also live in Australia but i now have a custom water cooling system so that's all fixed. To make sure it actually is the heat download a program like GPU-Z and monitor your temps while playing a game and see how hot its getting.

Post results after if you want.

Yeah, overheating could definitely be the problem, try putting it in a cooler place, possibly on the the floor if it's not already located there. Or maybe install some additional fans.

The above comments are true, ive had a similar problem on an old PC although water cooling would rectify the problem some goof quality fans would do the job I prefer (and from what I can tell Linus strongly recommends) Noctua Fans they're great!

Check your temperatures. Get "Cpu Temp" to monitor your temp and run "Prime95". If prime failes check your ram. If you see the temps get to high change your CPU cooler.

If your PC isn't new then try to clean the dust from coolers. If that doesn't help then use advices from previous posts :)

P.S. Too bad that I can't send you some cold and you me some heat. Currently outside is -15ºC (5ºF) :D

That's far from too hot. You might want to keep monitoring it for longer then 10 minutes though, just to see if it goes higher.
