Help finding new laptop.

TheKDub

I've had my current laptop for almost two years now, I had gotten it used and its starting to basically fall apart, not only that but it doesn't quite have as much power as I would like.

My current laptop is an ASUS K53ta bbr6, the basic specs of it are:

Cpu: AMD A6-3400M

GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6650M

RAM: 8GB

Screen: 1366x768 15 Inch

Storage: WD Black 750GB 7200 RPM
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

My budget is around $750, I would like the laptop to have at least a 15 inch screen, i5 or i7, 1080p screen, 8+ GB of Ram, backlit keyboard, and atleast a Geforce GT 750M or Radeon HD 7770M. (Black/Dark Colored is highly preferred!, also I dislike acer so try to avoid suggesting laptops from them if you can!)

I plan to do moderate/heavy gaming, general use/web browsing, Photoshop, Video Recording & Rendering, and maybe some programming in the future.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

(Don't give me crap saying I should get a desktop instead, I am already planning on custom building a desktop in the near future, I just need something that is portable and powerful for when I am not at home or don't feel like using the desktop.)

---Edit---

AMD CPU/APUs are fine too, something above 2GHz is preferred!

Specs: CPU - Intel i7 8700K @ 5GHz | GPU - Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming | Motherboard - ASUS Strix Z370-G WIFI AC | RAM - XPG Gammix DDR4-3000MHz 32GB (2x16GB) | Main Drive - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB M.2 | Other Drives - 7TB/3 Drives | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Pro | Case - Fractal Design Define C Mini TG | Power Supply - EVGA G3 850W

$750 is a low number for a dedicated gpu laptop.

This is the only one under your budget but it is not 1080. You need to pony up $100 more for it

I probably could go with a slightly less powerful gpu, as long as it is enough to games like skyrim on high/maximum settings with 30+ FPS then it would be fine.

Seems like it would be decently powerful, but doesn't quite look like what I'm looking for :/

I don't see that for 750$.

I wouldn't go under that: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152570

I got my laptop for $300, It is able to run skyrim on medium-high settings with around 40 FPS, it is completely possible to find it under $750.

Yep it is able to run skyrim on medium-high settings @ 768p, but now you want 1080p. I think you don't realise how much of a difference that is.

Look at this and see for youself what is needed to play skyrim @ maximum and 1080p: http://www.notebookcheck.net/The-Elder-Scrolls-V-Skyrim-Benchmarks.66057.0.html

The GT 840 that is in the 850$ notebook I posted barely does high preset @ 768p.

The Asus Q550LF-BBI7T07 and ASUS E451LD-XB51 have both caught my eye, the E451LD being the better looking and most powerful of the two.

They both have ultrabook CPUs ...

The second one has an i5 ultrabook CPU + GT 820M. That would be a downgrade from you current notebook (speaking about the GPU), and it doesn't have a better screen either. The first one seems okay, still a ultrabook CPU but it will be better than your current notebook at least, and it has 1080p. Then again you won't get it new for 750$. Your decision if you want to buy a refurbished one.

And btw the E451LD is the least powerfull.
