High frequency when idle

hi everyone

 

I have noticed that my cpu (which is slightly overclocked) tends to stay at high frequencies (even with Intel Speedstep enabled) when i've got no major programs running. Also the Core voltage stays high... I've checked the settings in windows and everything... I don't really like this and i can't seem to find a solution... please help

My specs:

CPU: i5-4670k (at 4.0ghz 1.18V)

GPU: MSI r9 270x

RAM: Corsair vengeance 1600mhz 8Gb (4x2)

MOBO: MSI z87 g45 gaming

CPU cooler: Corsair h60
