Non RAID 0 SSD setup

Go to solution Solved by GloriousPain,

@LOSNZ I'd reccomend the double two drive solution as to keep the number of overall writes on a specific drive down  ideally you should have a mech drive for backing things up to... might I recommend say an Samsung 840 (or intel 730) series 120ish GB and getting say a cheaper crucial that's 500GB and a cheap Mech drive or two for backing things up.

Hi guys,

In need of some advice, another new build is on the horizon in the next fortnight and whilst I was more than happy with ssd for boot on my last build I want to run my games etc from it as well. As power issues can be a small issue where we live as we have a cyclone season, I'm not too keen on doing a raid 0 setup. So my question is this is there any benefit in having a ssd for boot only and another ssd for programs given the bigger ssd drives perform better or just get one big one I.e 1tb and run everything off the one?

Thanks.
