Recommendation Video Editing

Go to solution Solved by Sauron,

Well unfortunately that point is where i am stumped as the owner of this computer has no idea what they are going to use. I am assuming it wont be very in depth literally just making AMV's of anime and stuff,  nothing high def.

Well then pretty much anything that has more than one core (intel side) and more than 3 cores (amd side) is good enough. Get her an a8 apu and an ssd, no graphics card and 4gb of ram and you're fine. You only need more if you know what you're doing.

Hey Guys,

So ive personally never dealt with any kind of video editing. My Sister in law is wanting to get into it for making AMV's and things. I am hoping this is ok but i didnt think it would be wise to make two separate posts in different sections of the forums just for one extra Item.  I know a good bit of storage is going to be needed and some decent speed ram but i was wanting to try and figure out what a good processor Recommendation would be for this basic video editing and if there is a graphics card you would recommend as a pair for it. I was planning on just doing 8-16 gb of ram with this build as well.

.... The budget for this build is negotiable, so a few different options at a variety of prices would be helpful to.

Thanks everyone.

What kind of editing are you going to do? For windows movie maker whatever you already have is enough and plenty. Are there any specific programs you want to use? Ram speed isn't as important as ram size with video editing. Also if your program doesn't support gpu acceleration a graphics card is useless.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

sudo chmod -R 000 /*
