So the problem we have is, the computer first started showing red lines and not booting, after switching out the graphics card, the red lines are gone and the blue screen isnt showing anymore, the problem we now have is, when we go into windows it starts booting up, but at the moment it arrives to the point where the desktop would open, the cmoputer just restarts itself infinitely. Its running an old intel pentium quad core with an asus p5k board and an sapphire radeon 4850 hd, 6gb of geil ddr 2 ram and windows 7. Is there any solutions to this that you know of?

Check the power supply and if anything is loose or any cables not properly plugged in on the motherboard.

Can you post your DxDiag log (type Dxdiag in start then save to desktop) then i can see your PC specs.

Have you done any Overclocking and know your RAM speed?

Have you tried booting into Safe Mode? If not try it.

Are you sure that the CPU heatsink is installed properly and that it is not turning off due to overheating?

What Heatsink are you using? Stock heatsink?
