The psu is overkill.

What's the system being used for?

Where are you shopping? Budget?

The psu is a little overkill in my opinon I would get a 500w and with the money you save getting a 750ti or amd 270 (x)

He is already over budget, I can only assume it will be around 100 more ringgit for those models.

@op, try to find a seasonic 500W or a corsair one if they are cheaper.

emm,not gonna get a 750Ti but guys can you tell me which power supply from cooler master would not be so ''overkill'' because actually I'm paying extras with my savings for the MSI GTX750 and the salesman from a diy desktop store or whatever it's called told me it's recommended to buy a power supply which is higher than 500 watts,he said 600-700 would be a good idea,I would like to know if there's a good power supply which is cheaper than G650M from Cooler Master and how much will I be able to overclock the processor, maybe 4.7ghz?

The salesman is either not being truthful or doesn't know better. The system would easily run off of a 300w psu.

it will be used for gaming , but not like Battlefield 4 but maybe will buy these games soon when I have it

Which shops are you using? Budget?

RM3000 which is about 850USD I think, the only thing I wanna know if there's any good power supply within RM200 but less than RM300 which is about 85USD I think

And the RM3000 will have to include a monitor I found one Asus VS228NR so the RM3000 would deduct RM429,the main thing is the desktop, and I would like to over clock it so I don't think I'm not gonna choose other motherboard

Don't allocate separate funds for each component unless you're asking for an unbalanced system.

Also, it's hard to know which parts are available or their pricing if you don't tell us where you're shopping.

what do you mean "the place I'm shopping"? you mean the company I go to for choosing parts?

Yep.

note that it's not anything like newegg or ncix but the shop I go to is Jayacom http://www.jayacom.com.my and I have a price list of it,but the power supply and casing will have to get it from other shop because it's available/cheaper somewhere else

Sorry for the late reply--the thread was buried under other tabs I've been meaning to respond to.

So it's RM3000 for the rest of the parts along with the mystery price of the case + psu?

Of the psu on the price list of Jayacom the Corsair CXM 500 would be a reasonable choice.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

if you want to overclock get the unlocked Pentium and a a cheap z87 or z97 board

emm,so Cooler Master G550M is better or Corasir CXM500 is better?

Both units are built by CWT. Bother units are 80+ Bronze rated. I tend to prefer Corsair psu over Cooler Master ones. Of course there are better psu available at a higher cost.
