Question about case lights

Go to solution Solved by storera21,

You could get a NZXT Hue, I plan on getting one in 2016 or later

Ooo that looks prefect for what I was thinking, I didn't even know that kind of thing exists so very helpful.

Hello, I recently completed my first ever PC build in a cooler master storm stryker case, and while it went really well I'm now wishing I had more lighting in the case to take advantage of the big window in the side panel (currently the only lights are front fan LEDs). Are there good options for adding extra lights (like LEDs or something) to a case just for the aesthetics? I really don't know anything about this so any advice would be great. Thanks in advance.

Good place to start http://www.bitfenix.com/global/en/products/premium-modding/alchemy-led-strips/

There are numerous options. LED strips are the easiest, but you can get some really nice soft lighting with cold cathodes. Just make sure you hide the lights and have them pointing into the case. It will make the system look nicer, especially in photos.

There are many options for case lighting. There are convenient precut and ready to plug in solutions, as well as ones where you buy a roll of LEDs and cut and solder to the appropriate lengths. I know Bitfenix makes some of the easy ones but I don't know how much they cost. I personally went the DIY route because I wanted the light to go in certain directions and light up the entirety of my case for as cheap as possible. I got mine from Hitlights. There are also many different colors to choose from no matter what route you choose.
