BIOS not detecting boot device!

Hello

 

I have recently been getting this error that prevents me from booting my PC.

 

"The current BIOS settings do not fully support the boot device.

Click OK to enter the BIOS setup.

 

Go to Advanced > Boot > CSM Parameters, and adjust the

CSM (Compatibility Support Module) settings to enable 

the boot device."

 

My computer was running fine up until about two weeks ago when this error occurred.

 

I have tried the following things to fix it:

Setting BIOS to defaults

Resetting the CMOS

Formatting the hard drive and re-installing Windows

 

I know it is not a faulty cable or hard drive as I have tried both in another computer and they worked fine.

 

Specs

Motherboard: ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0

Graphics Card: GTX 770

Processor: AMD FX 6300

Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 500GB 

RAM: Corsair 16GB DDR3 Vengeance.

PSU: Corsair TX750

 

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

have you tried all your mobo SATA ports?

 

it seems like the mobo SATA ports have failed to me

Yes, I've tried plugging it into every one with no effect.

looks like a dead mobo

 

time to replace it or RMA it if its still under warranty
