Small question.

Is it possible to just black spraypaint a keyboard's keycaps ( a few layers ) so the LED from my keyboard won't shine through the keycap so it's all black like these black blank keycaps you could order?

I've been thinking about making my WASD black and maybe my arrow keys too.

Not sure if anyone ever did this and if it would be just fine if I'd do.

I do have experience with spray painting and such but I'm still wondering.

It's possible but I would expect the paint to wear down over time due to the oils from our fingers. If you do decide to do it you will have to use several layers of high quality paint.

Because you don't need to make a video on it. 

 

You should be good to just paint over the tops. A little bit of light might bleed through under the keycaps, but you can't really cover that.
