IR controlled Led light strip frequency?

I don't know if this topic should be here, but..,

If I buy several led strip rolls which have their own separate controllers. Will all of the controllers be the same frequency, so I can use only one remote with all of them. Or is it most likely they will all be different frequencies?

I was just wondering, I will most likely just use some power repeaters or something, if I ever do this led strip thing I want to do.
