Hello guys,

I was wondering if a Corsair RM1000 is a overkill for my system?

My setup is:

Corsair 750D

Asus Maximus VI Gene

Intel i5-4670k overclocked to 4,2 GHz

Asus GTX 680 2 GB

16 GB of Kingston Hyperx RAM

Intel 530 250 GB SSD

Seagate 600 GB HHD

Corsair H100i in push/pull

3 140mm fans and one 120mm fan

My current psu is a CoolerMaster 600W.

Thanks :-)

Your current PSU is not overkill at all, how ever the 1000watt is.

There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

Just some helpful stuff: You're - You are, Your - Your car, They're - They are, Their - Their car, There - Over there.

Silent Pro Gold, Only reason I asked was because there was a great deal on the RM1000. I could save 70 dollars on it :-)

If you intended to hold onto that RM1000 for a little while, it could be a good buy. I know Linus has said somewhere that over-buying on a power supply means you can probably use it through a few builds. At least I hope he was correct as I went overkill on my power supply
