Building a birthday present!

Soooo my friend's birthday is in October. He says he wants to have me build a computer for him. He's saving up cash right now (~$500 is his goal) and I found the parts on newegg. This is designed to be a wolf in sheep's skin kind of build that after $100 and a little of overclocking can become a beast that plays most modern games on high or ultra but currently sits as an e-mail/youtube/facebook rig. 

Here's the specs:
Pentium G3258 20th anniversary edition (unlocked; can be as fast as an i3!)
8GB G.Skill Value Select RAM 

Cheap $30 Gigabyte GZ-PD Case with lots of space but no frills

Gigabyte GA-B85M-D2V LGA 1150 Mobo
Antec Basiq 430w PSU (80plus certified) 
Seagate barracuda 1tb HDD. 

Thoughts? total price on all parts including a 17" dell monitor and a mouse+keyboard was ~$480 US. Even at stock clocks he could be able to play most games on medium or high given he purchases a GPU later on.

Does that motherboard have a bios that supports OC on that cpu?

Just get a ps4 or xbox one nothing is going to be better than it at that price and who knows maybe someone will figure out how to run windows on it like linux did on the 360.
