Problematic Marvel NIC

SlowMixit

In one of my PC's there is Marvel Yukon 88E8053 NIC and i have had litle problems with it, not getting IP from router.

Only way to fix it so far have been to change NIC's MAC address, but im trying to find fix without MAC address change.

Anyone have idea why it does not get IP from router with original MAC address but after i change MAC address to something else it will work?

The only reason im still running Windows 8.1 on that machine instead of Mac OS X Mavericks is because Mavericks doesnt accept MAC address change on this NIC.

sounds like a dhcp issue to me can you try reseting your router or using a diferent router

As legopc says, sounds like a DHCP serving issue. Resetting the router (or device that is doing the DHCP serving) may not be enough and you may have to clear the DHCP table for the changes to properly occur.

Resetting router nor clearing DHCP table is not working.

Still requires Mac address change of NIC to work, i dont get how changing mac address manually can magically solve the problem allways, i will try with different router and see if it works, if it works then good if not then i still need find solution, will report here later.

EDIT :

It was my Cable/Fiber box, added one 10Gb router between my pc and Cable box (all that i had here was extra 10GbE PCI-E card and router for it laying around)

Now off to fix sound on Yosemite DP3.
