I'm on Telus currently and the service seems alright, it's been reliable and the performance is what was promised but I don't think there's any way to get away from data caps and the speed is nothing special. But that's just Canadian ISPs for ya.

There's no best choice when it comes to isp's.  Some people live in any area that is over crowded with Shaw users so they all end up with worse internet then telus would provide, the same goes for the other way around.  From my experience shaw is better, we had to change over everything from telus because they refused to fix our phone problems. We had a constant buzzing or something along those lines that almost sounded like the person on the other side of the line was on a cellphone with poor reception, except the person could be on another land line. They confirmed that it was something to do with the line coming to our house and wouldn't fix it. In the end my dad spoke with his wallet and switched everything over to shaw where we haven't had any issues at all.  Best thing you could do is find the one with the best price for what you want and try them out, worst case you switch over to the other provider.

Used some plan from Telus a few years ago. Didn't like how it kept disconnecting on me and their service was not as satisfactory (in my opinion) as Shaw. Yes, I am being bias. I'm using broadband 50 on Shaw right now and I love it more than what I had with Telus. The speed is awesome. Shaw Go Wifi is awesome.

+1 Shaw
