Hey there.

I am a Logitech fanboy but am really considering the K95 over the G710+.

The G710+ seems to be really expensive and costs £20 more than the K95 pre-order.

Any pros or cons with going with either of them?

I believe Linus talked about these two on the livestream yesterday but only on the software side. They said something about the Logitech one having better drivers.

I have used LGS since its started and it really has become amazing.

But what limitations/is wrong with the Corsair equivalent.

I have the G710+. It's awesome. It's rugged.

And this is why I bought it^^^

It's also so very pretty.

The K95 doesn't attract fingerprints like the G710+ does for one. Also it looks much more sturdier in terms of build quality to me. It also has dedicated multimedia keys like the G710+ so I don't see anything wrong or limiting about the K95

I'd go with the K95 simply based on aesthetics. The orange blob looks silly on the G710+ and the silver wasd keys are just cheesy. I'm also guessing the volume slider feels better on the K95.

As far as the software goes...It's a keyboard. Short of utilizing some convoluted macros, what do you need software for?

From what I can tell the K95 is more solid and cheaper.

Both keyboards are almost identical except for back lights. K95 has more fun back light modes and the G710+ just has RGB lighting ircc.

Is this really the only difference?

NOoooo just in time! The G710+ has only white backlighting.

Addons

The G710+ also comes fitted with o-rings so it is lightly to be a tad quieter than the k95, albeit it does not look anywhere nearly as sturdy.

The G710+ has a detachable wristwrest while the K95 does not, this is up to your own preference.

The K95 also comes with reds and browns i think, while the 710+ only comes in brown switches.

But yeah, they essentially have the same features other than aesthetics and build quality, the K95 is guaranteed to be stronger due to it's aluminium frame, it also has 18 macros (A little overkill) compared to 5.

Personally i'd go for the K95 :)

Ok that's all :P

Oh so the G710+ is simply worse than the K95 on every aspect at a more expensive price?

You can buy o-rings for ~£11 so that still doesn't justify the price bump.

Labour costs :P

Also, because of the raised key designs on Corsair's K series keyboards it's really easy to clean them off with a vacumn cleaner without having the need to remove every key individually, so that's a plus.

I am pretty sure corsair keyboards only come with red switches ;)

I would go for the G710+ if it weren't for the ugly orange and the fingerprint magnet material.

I would go for the K95 if it weren't for the red switches.

So I'm basically waiting for either Logitech to release a better looking G710+ or for Corsair to release a brown switch K95.

Overall, both have great build quality, macro keys, and media/volume controls. Buy based on your personal preference of look and key switch type

I recently bought a G710+ and I couldn't be happier with it. Idk why people always say its a fingerprint magnet, The only glossy part of the keyboard you won't be putting your fingers on anyways. Also the build quality of the g710+ is quiet good, it's heavy and very sturdy. Keyboards are used for typing on so I can't see why some people want there's built to go to war with. The white backlight is very nice to look at, its also really bright. overall the G710+ is very sleek and has a very professional look about it and the brown switches are a dream to type on in my opinion

You are able to disassemble this keyboard and paint the plastic that goes around the macro keys: http://www.overclock.net/t/1316586/logitech-g710-disassembly-and-modification-56k-warning

I would personally go with the G710+ because of its brown switches unlike the K95 which offers red switches. I like brown switches because they provide me with a tactile feel and they are not as easy to actuate than red switches. Their O-rings beneath the keycaps helps dampen the sound. If you want more backlighting features and planing to use it for gaming, go with the K95. If you are using it for typing documents and gaming, I would go with the G710+.
