Hey I'm planning on building a new gaming computer, I just want to get some feed back from people who have more experince than me at building, which won't be hard since I have none :D

What I'm looking to build

Mobo - Gigabyte Z87X-D3H

CPU - Intel Core i5 4670K (1150 Socket, 3.40GHz)

Graphics Card - Asus GeFore GTX 780 (DirectCU 2, 3GB)

Power Supply - Corsair AX 760Watt

RAM - Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB, 1600Mhz)

SSD - Samsung 840 EVO 120GB

CPU Cooling - Corsair H100i 240mm

Case - NZXT H440

Some notes?...

I have a 500GB(2yrs old) and 2x1TB(brand new) HHD's thats why no HHD's on the list also keyboard, mouse, OS etc.

I got really confused when it came to choosing the motherboard and I went with the the Z87-D3H because it supported the 1150 socket CPU and has SLI support if I choose to get another GTX780 rather than upgrading to another single GPU, this wont be happening for a while though and also the price was good ;)

Im a little tight on funds so the i5 worked better for me than the i7 and from what I could gether there is no sufficent benifit between them for gaming, with current games. The same reasoning for the 8GB ram instead of 16GB.

The only reason I went with the H100i over the H110 is because a lot of reviews and videos I have seen/read have said that the H110 has a bad mounting bracket that often breaks, I am open to suggestions of others that are around the same price because the H100i is a 240mm which will leave a 120mm space in the top of my case that im not sure I will be able to fit another fan into because of the size of the radiator, I could be wrong though.

I personally don't feel that I need more than a 120GB SSD because I only play 2-3 online games at the same time and the rest are played offline so happy just installing them on my HHD's.

So yeah, any suggestions, comments, feed back would be great.

I am from Scotland so if you are going to post site links please dont post sites that are only American/Candian ^_^

Oh and my budget is around £1,000 that is £ GBP not $ USD.

Thank you :)

Get a SeaSonic or Antec psu instead and scrap the SSD ...

As for the rest of the stuff I will say I love Gigabyte mobos as they have good value in the lower end boards.  The case is often a very personal choice but I try to put as little money into that while getting performance so that is all I will say about cases.  Ram is ram so go with what is the most affordable and is by a well recognized brand.  In regards to the graphics card if you don't care about physX AMD will probably have better value/performance choices.  For cooling I go air so I can't comment on what you are purchasing there.

GL with your build and enjoy it.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

Well... change your CPU to i5 4690k instead and the mobo to a Z97 mobo, something like MSI Z97 G45 Gaming Mobo?

your PSU is fine, and I definitely recommend keeping the SSD. For GPU... maybe change to MSI or EVGA one instead? I still like 780 over 290/290x but it's just my preference :P

Why scrap the SSD? It would be good for a build like this.

Potatoes are good for your nostrils.

Thanks that mobo even matches the color of the case :P

Is there any reason to hange the GPU (I would go for the MSI) other than your preference are they not the same just slightly different looking? because the price is the same only £2 difference.

If I remember correctly the DCU from ASUS dont cool the GPU as  good as the Twinfrozr, and also for MSI mobo it will give a slight boost to it own GPU (MSI GPU)

It is a gaming rig and an SSD is not needed for gaming. He/she should save the money for something else in life or put it towards upgrading further that would make their gaming experience better ... video card or monitor ...

Yeah that's a way to do it too.

Of course an SSD is needed. Things will load much faster, and the pc will be a lot more responsive overall. A £1000 budget has plenty of room for a good gpu and an SSD.

You are wrong.  Load times matter very little in gaming.  As for a good gpu he could put the money saved in not buying an SSD towards a second gpu, a better single gpu or pocket the money for other things in life.

Here is a spec with a R9 290. They offer better value for money than nvidia cards. Ignore the comment about scrapping the ssd. The guy is talking nonsense.
