Hello folks today I am going to ask some questions about Ivy E overclocking. After researching online I found many Sandy E guides but not many Ivy E guides. I understand they are very similar processors but does everything applying to Sandy E apply to Ivy E? For instance on Linus's NCIX Sandy E OC video he said the max voltage you could use was 1.55 vcore. Is this true for Ivy E? Some people are also turning up their IMC voltage, does this have any effect on stability? So far I was able to do 4.6 ghz on my 4820K with only changing the Vcore to 1.375 WITHOUT LOAD LINE CALIBRATION. My max temp was 75C during 24hrs of Prime95. If anyone has any tips or recommendations for a higher/better OC feel free to post.

System: 4820K, H100i, 4x4 gb Ripjaws Z at 8 8 8 24 1600mhz(this is stock), Gigabyte X79 UP4 running F5 bios(used to be F7 but caused cold boot issues dunnow why)

I'm only comfortable getting up to 1.3V 4.3GHz on my 4930k. Running it at that close to 24/7.

Ivy-E is more sensitive to Voltage than Sandy-E. Ivy-E CPU's aren't really known to be great overclockers, which is a bummer.

i wouldn't run higher than 1.4v 24/7 that 4.6ghz seems to be stable with good temps, so i would stick at that. no point giving your memory controller any more voltage, but i would see if your ram can run at 1866mhz
