I guess this qualifies as a PC mod, or at least close enough, and figured I'd share my little project.

I've had this raspberry pi for quite a while, and wanted to finally do something with it, so I built a small box to watch movies when we go on vacations. Its currently functioning, but needs quite a bit of organization. I'm waiting to use it for a while and make sure everything is 100% functional before I go through all the work of shortening the cables and constructing a plate for mounting everything down securely.

I plan on adding one of these in for the 2.5" drive mount, so I can pull it out to more easily manage the media: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?gclid=CjkKEQjwrLSdBRDYvIL0soO4vo0BEiQABALkqZuogdUs1bslldC2me9bglTT0OwH0_ltaw7RuXdWTMDw_wcB&Item=N82E16817998052&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-_-pla-_-SSD+%2f+HDD+Accessories-_-N82E16817998052&ef_id=U5@SMQAABbc15hLc:20140628034804:s

The really long cable in there is for the IR receiver, I wanted to test it out a bit before shortening it and finding out it doesn't work very well. The HDMI cable was the shortest thin cable I could get, and really don't want to try and splice that many wires together to make it the correct length.
