is this overkill?

i want to get a new gaming computer next summer, where the new gpus and cpus will most likely have been dropped. untill then i need a system upgrade because my rig is too weak. is this overkill?
CPU: an i5 because i want to run pcsx2 (possibly an i5 4690,not a k)
MOBO: a h97 chipset one
GPU:r9 270 perhaps
PSU: the one i have, cx 500M
ram:8GB
storage: perhaps a 1TB western digital
case:idk if i will change that
and before you tell me to keep my current rig, i cant for 2 reasons
1. it is dying. 2. specs: athlon 64 5600+, rad 6670, 4GB ddr2... i cant play anything with this anymore.

yeah

you should be fine, granturismo 4 is by far the hardest game for pcsx2 you should be able to play it pretty well.
