Regular or google play edition?

Charles Carron

I'm looking to buy an htc one m8. I just can't decide if I should take one with stock android or the google play edition. What are your thoughts on this?

I'd just take stock. Install a custom ROM and launcher and make it your own (:

There's so much you can do with Android that it's almost not worth keeping the stock one.

Whatever is cheaper. You can root the regular M8 and put clean rom on it.

I don't really play many games for gameplay anymore honestly. I play most games just for the graphics.

Then why not just get the google play edition ?

I have a lot of upgrade plans, and no money  :)

Whichever is cheaper, just put CyanogenMod on the one with HTC's skin on if that's your thing.

I got a HTC One M7 and flashed CyanogenMod 11 on it the second day I had it. (Now running 4.4.4 BTW)

Want to do this with my M7 but I don't trust myself doing it.

Also I'd go with the regular for that reason and I personally like it better over the Google Play Edition.
