JavaScript - Help with Carousel and books

I was wondering if anyone could help me make a JavaScript Carousel or if there are any videos about how to make one. http://playmindcrack.com/ Something similar to the one on this page would be amazing.

 

I am also looking for some JavaScript books and tutorials, as I don't yet know the language. Any suggestions would be great!

step 1 is to learn javascript, then you can work on your personal carousel, even as an exercise while you learn

They use the Bootstrap Carousel, give it a try!

 

I recommand that you look at Js/Jquery tutorials to learn how one is made though. Using prebuilt CSS is good, there's no point in re-inventing the wheel, but if you don't understand what you are doing, then you won't learn.
