Choosing a display

Go to solution Solved by H4X3R,

and your monitor is the one you recommended?

No, i recommended a better one (better colour accuracy and full pivot). I am very happy with my monitor and would recommend it to anyone that wants a height-adjustable IPS display with low input lag and low response time (5ms is low for IPS).

hello,

I need assistance choosing between 2 moniotors, gaming purpouses

my options are:

BenQ GL2460HM LED 24"   (cheaper, about 20 bucks difference oon the store I'm gonna buy)

or

ASUS VS247HR LED 23.6''

My question is:

Should I go with the benq and would i get bang for the buck, or does it lack on something that the asus one has that is important

also I'm open to new suggestions, at the same price or lower

BTW, the shop is this one (portuguese) :

From what i've read the asus one has a better contrast ratio but apart from that those two monitors are very similar, also the benq seems to have integrated speakers... i'd go with the asus unless you need the speakers

Both are TN. Get an IPS Monitor.

Thanks everyone, I'll definately consider that ips asus one though, cheaper than the other asus...

One thing though, the asus and benq tm have 2ms response time, and the ips asus has 5ms, shouldn't i also consider that?

The difference between 2 and 5ms is negligeable.

No, i use a 5ms IPS 1080p display to game and i can hardly tell the difference to my brothers 144hz 1ms TN panel (VG248QE). The colours look SOOOO much better on IPS though. At first i was in doubt, but after coming my monitor (150 euros(height adjustable) to my bros vg248qe i knew that i made the right decision).
