Hey all!

This is my first time posting here and I really need some help/advice. I've had my current rig for maybe a little more than 4 years and I'm unsure but I think either my CPU or my HDD might be dying.

Everything has been running fine up until a few days ago when I noticed all content hosted on my 2TB HDD has been playing back with an audio stutter. The stutter is noticeable, jumping audio every 1-2 seconds for a fraction of a second each jump.

Everything running from my SSD, which is also the boot drive for my OS, or streamed from the net perfectly.

THE PLOT THICKENS - Only content coming from my HDD is suffering and this only includes HD videos or games. Music playback from the HDD is silky smooth. If I move content from my 2TB over to my SSD it runs fine again.

I have no idea what is wrong.

I've done a CMD check on my HDD and its reported back OK as has checks on my CPU.

My Rig:

i7 920 OC @ 3.5Ghz

ASUS P6T mobo

PNY GTX 780 TI 3GB OC ed.

SanDisk 256GB SSD (OS)

Kingston 128GB SSG (Games)

Seagate 2TB HDD (Games, videos and music)

12GB Ram

Windows 8.1

Any ideas?

Download crystaldiskinfo and see what it says about the drive. Sounds like it is going to fail soon though.
