I've used ShadowPlay for all of them yes.

Motion = artifacts on those, it's especially evident in the Titanfall vids, when you pan the camera everything turns to blocks.

Very few youtubers have figured out how to compensate for this effect, I've spend a lot of time trying to get rid of it and the only real way is to bump the resolution in rendering as people like frankie/jackfrags/many others do to get more bitrate.

I don't know how you can call programs like DXtory 'awful', pretty much all of the top tubers use them, totalbiscuit is particularly good at getting high quality footage within the 1080p bitrate constraints and he uses DXtory to capture.

Look at the videos of a german guy called Gronkh, he has 1080p locked down something wicked I have no idea what witchcraft he employs to make his videos behave at that bitrate.

I have only recently changed the way I rendered the videos. The Titanfall videos did not use my most recent methods, only the Dark Souls videos, Oddworld and the Channel Update have. I call DXtory awful because it causes massive frame dropping so unless you have quite a bit of RAM it's not usable for anyone.

I also could increase the bit-rate of the render to a much higher one but then the upload takes well over 24 hours. The settings I have are a good balance, I use a variable bit rate with an average of 50,000,000 and a maximum of 100,000,000. This takes about 6 hours to upload. My upload speed is about 3mb/s so if it was higher than I would increase it. However from what I can tell it looks great and isn't bad like everyone claims it is while also not being taxing on the gameplay experience.

My only problem with shadow play is having to do a stupid process to sync commentary. I deal with it, but of course if they can add a seperate microphone recording file, it would be nice. I don't know what kind of work goes into that I'm sure it's hard, but it's a feature I'm sure a lot of people would like to do good edits of vocals.

I don't use Shadowplay at all anymore. Well I tried to test it lately again for just normal recordings as it has less impact during gaming but it just don't want to cooperate with me anymore xD Anyway whilst livestreaming I noticed it wants to eat all your internet somehow. 3500Kbps on shadowplay = massive lagg. xSplit or OBS 3500kbps no issues at all. From that moment I quit livestreaming with it.
