Been having and odd issue with my internet lately. What happens is while I'm using the internet everything is fine speed and packet loss wise then suddenly browsers stop loading pages and start stating "Resolving host..." but my games are still online and active with no lag and thinks like speedtest.net still usually work if already loaded into the browser and youtube videos keep buffering. The computer still says it's connected to the internet the only way I can reconnect is unplugging the cat 6 cable wait for my computer to identify my other connection then plug in the cable again. Also if I wait long enough I will fully dc from the internet at which point the computer recognizes that there's no internet. The windows trouble shooter can't identify the problem and again I have to wait for my other network to identify after unplugging from the modem before I will get internet again.

This has been happening before and after a fresh windows 7 install.

I've tried disabling my other network devices installed.

I've tried using my other network devices.

I've tried with a different computer both wired and wireless.

I've tried with my tablet.

This is shared internet so there's about 10 other computers in the house the modem is wireless and we also have a router. I'm directly connected to the router but I don't have admin access to it.

Now I'm a noob at networking but from what I've tried it makes me think it's either the modem or the connection leading up to the modem. Has anyone else experienced these symptoms before?

Edit: The model of the modem is Cisco DPC3825 from Rogers.
