100% CPU usage in BF4

    i5 2500k @ 4.6 GHZ

  • Motherboard

    MSi Mpower Z77 1155

RAM

Kingston Genesis 1600 mhz 4x4GB 16GB

GPU

2x EVGA GTX TITAN

PSU

Corsair AX860 Platinium

Windows 8.1 update 1

Nvidia Driver 337.88

 

I am getting 100% cpu usage in bf4 and it often makes the game stutter.

Is there any fix for that or is the i5 2500k a bottleneck at 4.6ghz (<--- I dont think that is the case.)

I have a computer with an AMD Athlon II X4 645 @ 3,1 Ghhz and I cant even run the old Battlefield 2 without 100% usage

Disable one of the cards, perhaps this is pushing your CPU to 100%

What resolution are you running? If the cpu is running at full load it's usually a good sign, it means the game isn't bottlenecked by anything else (which with 2 titans is pretty obvious). If you are getting stutters I don't think the cpu is the problem. What framerate do you usually get?

I get usally above 100 with everything on ultra at 1080p without anti aliasing , and it will randomly stutter sometimes it occurs at random times.

Cooler is Noctua D-14 btw.

Or maybe try Disabling Your CPU then it'll be 0% lolololololol jk  :P  :P  :P

So? IPC hasn't moved on much with ivy,haswell,devil, broadwell.

Sandy bridge is still king in Overclocking and temps.

Sandy bridge is still king in Overclocking and temps.

ipc has gone up by 10% but overclocking limits have come way down so yeah sandybridge is awesome, but no with 2 titans he should probably have an i7...then again for 1080p? hes probably getting 200fps and complains about stutters.

my phenom wasnt even maxed in bf3/4

op-you probably have a few background tasks or a virus that is being the straw that broke the donkeys back*

close everything is task manager and try again and see what msi afterburner says.

unoptimised bf4 beta on my phenom...

then you have something wrong because my friends 640 at stock 3.0 is used but not bottlenecking (in bf2) and that games super easy to run, bf3 is much the same.
