Hi guys,

This is my first time building a pc and I need some help. I already have the storage and the OS. This is what I've decided to go with:

My Build

Can you tell me if this is good enough for gaming all latest games (including perhaps The Witcher 3) and if the PSU is good enough to handle another 770 in the future. Also do you have any recommendations to make this build cheaper? Is the wifi card ok?

Thanks in advance,

Sid

It looks mostly ok, but I think you can save a bit of money by going with a normal 4670 processor instead (not the K) or a bit lower since you won't get any significant overclocks on that 212 anyway. If possible, use that price difference to go for the 4gb version of the 770. Solid build all around though.

Taking the 4670K is pointless, it doesn't overclock almost at all.

Cut the costs down by taking a motherboard in a chipset like B85/H87/H97, a non-K CPU and a cheaper PSU.

Alas, OP doth not live near yonder Microcenter nor Staples... For such markets offer coveted i5-4670K's for a mere shilling: 189.99 USD.

Do this, mate. It'll get you a R9 290 and the CPU, the i5-4590, won't bottleneck a thing.

CPU: Intel Core i5-4590 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor  (£137.99 @ Aria PC)
Motherboard: ASRock H97 PRO4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  (£74.59 @ Overclockers.co.uk)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory  (£55.34 @ Scan.co.uk)
Video Card: PowerColor Radeon R9 290 4GB PCS+ Video Card  (£289.55 @ Overclockers.co.uk)
Wireless Network Adapter: Asus PCE-N15 802.11b/g/n PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi Adapter  (£15.00 @ Amazon UK)
Total: £717.45

If you'd rather not have an AMD GPU, then try this. The Haswell refresh isn't much - just a 0.1GHz difference - so going for the original is fine and doing so will net you a mobo for 20 less pounds and a GTX 780.

CPU: Intel Core i5-4570 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor  (£137.99 @ Aria PC)
