Wan Show

    I've been watching Linus videos for a few years, and I just unsubscribed today. I want to explain why.

 

I just watched 40 minutes of the Wan show, I've been watching it every week for a while. It was all sponsorship ads, except for a small section on watch dogs. Literally, it ran from ad to ad to ad.............. The show's meant to be about news. It used to have a small section in the middle with the ads, now its like watching the shopping channel. There wasn't a single bit of news (880 prices isn't really news). 

 

Seriously, how many sponsors did he mention in 40 minutes including the highlander thing....... It no-longer entertaining or informative, its a cult of personality and an advertising platform (like 85% of it).

 

Anyway, I may be the minority who will leave, I just don't want to see the channel degrade, it was very good and I appreciate the videos.

Meh posting it here wouldn't really help the situation tbh. You wanna do something? Post it in the thread Linus makes every time he uploads a vid. Here in GD, you'll just create an argument.

well Ovbiously I know linus needs to make money and stuff so I really don't mind seeing ads. But I do agree with that there has  been too many ads on his vids latley.

Then why unsubscribe from Linus' Youtube?  You don't have the watch the twitch stream and the WAN Show almost always comes out a day later on Youtube.

 

If OP said that he unfollowed then I can understand (twitch emails get annoying), but he said he unsubscirbed.

They don't make the timetable for nothing. If you want more content they need to be payed for it somehow. I suspect you don't watch much tv.If you do have cable tv i suggest unsubscribing from that cause they play more adds per show then anything  :lol:

Ok so some people cannot stand ads however take into consideration Linus is also paying like what 5 people?plus he had a kid, and babies are not cheap..and rent and all the other crap that comes with well running his own YouTube business or what have you. he needs money to pay for them to be working for him as well as well make himself a paycheck because if it isn't obvious he doesn't work at NCIX anymore although still has ties apparently if i can recall from one of his videos...if you really just cannot just handle the ads just do something else around the house for a bit and check back in what it's do and it still supports Linus so its a win the way i see it.
