So I'm planning on building my first gaming rig in a couple of weeks and I was just looking for people's input and opinions on the components I am looking at getting.

Intel Core i7 4770k Haswell

Asus Z97-A

Samsung 840 EVO 250GB SSD [boot Drive]

Western Digital Red WD10EFRX 1TB [With another added one later down the track for a RAID 0 Setup]

Corsair 8GB DDR3 Vengeance C9 1600MHz

Corsair RM650 80 Plus Gold PSU 650W

I have an AFOX GeForce G210 that I'm going to be using in it for the time being until I can afford to get 2 Asus GeForce GTX750 Phantom OC's and SLI them.

The only things I'm not too sure on are the mobo and the PSU, any advice or suggestions on these or anything else would be welcome.

the f$#! are you getting a 4770k for gaming? get like an i5 4xxxk and a nice gpu.

So to recap:

1) The 750 or 750ti cards can't SLI at all

2) Even if they could, SLI should only be for high end cards since it's always cheaper and easier (less power, less heat) to go with a single powerful card

3) The 4770k is a good processor but if you're not even planning on buying a videocard why get such an expensive processor? For the same price, you can get a 4130 and an r9 280 and guess what? The performance in games would be exactly the same for the most part. You only need a 4770k if you need to do some really intensive video editing (for example) AND you plan on getting a water cooler to heavily overclock and even then it would be a poor choice with the 4790k just around the corner with potentially a lot better overclocking abilities for the same price. But seriously for any GPU under 500 bucks a 4130 will do and if you want something for heavy multitasking I wouldn't go higher than a 4570 anyway
