Ok, so I built a new PC recently and I went to plug in the monitoring speakers I used with my last PC (which just used a jack for the left and right channels).  Upon plugging them in I was greeted with an annoying buzzing sound.  I plugged in my headphones, nothing, I plugged in my earphones, nothing, I rand the audio to my monitor, nothing.  Only through my speakers am I getting this weird sound.

Any explanations?

Can you be more specific about what speakers you are using?

It is common for people using Rokits to have to get a ground loop isolator. You can find cheap ones on Amazon probably.

They're made by Phonic.  I can't find them on their website, but they were passed down from my Dad, so they could be quite old.

I'll have a look at a ground loop isolator, cheers.
