New CPU or new GPU

I have an fx8120 and a GTX 770, i have enough money to buy an I7 and a new motherboard or an Asus R9 290?

 

Which would be better?

go for the i7 and mobo

 

or of course you could save some money and go with an i5 if you only game and don't video edit

Totally agree - specifically, a great ( arguably the best choice ) is the i5 4670K. Great overclocker at a really good price.

If you're going for an all around config that you want to be able to handle games as well as other tasks such as rendering, the i7 is a good choice. However, it comes at a noticeable difference in price. If you want a config that's good for mainly gaming and want to spend less, the i5 is a better choice.
