Ethernet thingys

Okay so i'm kind of a noob in this department, But if I were to add a network card that would add say 2 more ethernet plugs and connected all 3 (Motherboard and the 2 on the card) Would it increase my download speed? Or am I just being a total noob at this? ^.^

Nope. Not how the internet works.

Basically, your download speed is decided by your internet plan which is given to you by your ISP. Your download speed is almost certainly not 1 Gbps. That's how fast your ethernet port on your motherboard likely is.

1 Gbps is 125 MBps (note the capital b ). If you aren't already downloading things at 125 MBps, then you won't get a speed increase from multiple ethernet ports.
