My laptop recently broke, and I would like to recover the data from the hard drives. They are two 500GB HDDs in RAID 0, and I was wondering if its possible to plug them into my desktop and have them retain the files, or will the motherboard reformat them? I'm using an Asus z87-pro if that helps.

Thanks for all your help :D

you might be out of luck coz the RAID config is based off your original computer

Depends on if the SATA controller is of the same gen on your laptop and desktop. We know ASUS Z87-Pro on desktop, what about the laptop? If its gen 68/77/87 it will most likely work fine. (actually anything between 68 to 87)

I roll with sigs off so I have no idea what you're advertising.
