I am going to purchase a gtx 770 and put it in my system to go with my i5 3570k and I am going to give my old 660ti to my dad. His CPU is an AMD Phenom x4 9600 quad core cpu, he also has an 8800gt from when he bought the system, and I am also going to upgrade his 400 watt psu to 500 so it can handle a 660ti, but I need to know if that cpu is going to bottleneck the GPU performance? Any help would be appreciated!!

Also the only games he currently plays are call of duty 2, and cod 4, so really he isn't going to play a lot of newer titles but I still wanted to know if it is going to bottleneck the GPU in case he does decide to buy some new games.

There will be bottleneck. In older games not really noticable since gtx 66ti will run the games above 60fps easily. But in newer / more demanding games you will notice fps difference (min/max)
