what upgrade should i get for €900

Thx I am going next year to a university for 2d & 3d game design with alot of rendering and 2d & 3d modeling.

Should i buy an i7

a i5 should be ok, but an i7 will be much better for those tasks, so the i7 would be the better option

I was planning to upgrade my pc with more gpu and cpu power my budget is €900

I am planning to game at higher resolutions than 1080p

That is actually a good idea, if you can wait till the end of the year, Nvidias new GPUs will be a very good upgrade

Z97 and a I5 4590K is more then enough, you could get a MSI Z97 gaming 5 or 7 or any asus Z97

except for the fact that you'll most likely be able to get an AMD video card that'll perform just as good if not better for half the cost
