hi guys. i have a problem with the new windows 8.1.

firstly, i'm using msi gs60 3K display.

1st problem, how can i change the option of auto adjustment for brightness? it sometimes reduce the brightness during dark background and increase it when it's light colour or white. it's really annoying. i tried to change the power settings via control panel, but it doesnt work.

2nd problem is with the google chrome. it cannot detect the high dpi straight away. i already did the DIY solution from here

http://www.ubergizmo.com/how-to/how-to-google-chrome-hidpi-support-windows/

it works (somekind), but leaves something so annoying, i cant resize my chrome window and i cannot right click on the tab bar to access my "reopen closed tab" button. on aesthetic side, the back, forward and reload button looks funny.

any help would be appreciated.. thanks guys

so all you have to do is first uninstall then reinstall chrome

next you should try changing your resolution settings on your computer.

Also the automatic brightness is a part of your monitor you have to turn it off using your monitor.

Hopefully this helped not sure if it will though.

i'm using a laptop by the way. i just wanna know if there is a way to utilise the new generation of resolution.

and there is no option other than software tweaking.
