16:9 vs 16:10

One concern I have with 16:10 is the fact that I do record and was wondering if that would affect it and cause me not to be able to use my Avermedia Live Gamer HD also I dont life stream often but would a 16:10 monitor affect my live streaming quality? I may get a 1920x1200 because they arent that much more expensive and I can get it in 24in's but if would affect the previous stated things I will more than likely stick with 1920x1080. One last thing in the off chance that I do get a next gen console (or a friend brings one over) would they scale fine?

Live Gamer HD doesn't support 1920x1200.  Only up to 1920x1080.

What I was thinking is that I could use a splitter and then maybe the Live Gamer HD would be able to scale it down but on my monitor I could still enjoy 1920x1200. Is this at all possible?

I doN#t know, but you can definetly turn it down to 1080p, I don't hink that is a huuge problem for those ocasions. Also if you play at 1200p and cut off 60 pixels on top and bottom, some of your hud will be hidden, so I reccomend to just turn it downt o 1080p ^^
