300px-STriDER_1and2.jpgthis robot was built to walk autonomously and simply on three legs; it rotates the top section and swings one leg under the other two in which it is still balancing. I believe it is powered by a single motor and everything else is handled mechanically using various mechanisms. it is supposed to work towards bipedal walking (like humans) since we swing our legs when we walk, regardless it is very cool. a link to the video of it running is included below as well as a link to the website of the company that developed it.
