I've recently learned that there is some software that lets your CPU and GPU work together somehow. I'd love to put this on my computer but every time I try to install it, I run into the same issue; a notification saying "Wrong GPU configuration  Please check your hardware/drivers. Disabling Virtu MVP and exiting. (Remember to enable Virtu MVP after the problem is fixed)". This is very frustrating. I've tried installing it without the graphics card in, with the card in, the monitor plugged into the mobo and into the card, all coming to the same result. I have the latest drivers for the HD4000 graphics and the latest nVidia drivers for my card, in fact all of the drivers for the motherboard including the chipset are up to date. It's been suggested that I update my BIOS and enable integrated graphics, so I did but with no luck.

My system -

Graphics card: http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=02G-P4-3660-KR

Mobo: http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=P8Z77-V+LX&p=1&s=39

CPU: i7 3770K

Not sure if the rest matters

So is my graphics card incompatible? Maybe the mobo? Faulty CPU? Any help would be awesome!

CPU - Intel Core i7 3770K @ 4.60GHz 1.264v | RAM - Corsair Dominator Platinum 16.0GB (2x8GB) | Motherboard - ASUS P8Z77 WS | Graphics - EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 | Storage -  120 GB Samsung 840 EVO | PSU - Corsair RM650 | Case - Corsair 550D

Best off not using Virtu. It's pretty poor. It doesn't support most games. It only really helps in benchmarks and you can't submit scores with Virtu enabled.

There is one good use for Virtu, you can run as many monitors as you have display outputs. So.. need 8 monitors? Then you might want to look at it.

I agree with Wats, avoid it. When I tried it after it came with my motherboard it just stopped Battlefield 3 from working. The only fix was to disable MVP. Not worth the hassle.

My setup used to be linked here but links aren't allowed so... it shall remain a mystery!

Thats too bad. It's a cool concept, but very poorly executed. Oh well, thanks for the advise.

You need to initialize the IGD (integrated graphics device) from the BIOS. You'll have an option to do either IGD or your graphics card.

Like the others said, don't use it. Not useful.

Edit : Nevermind, I didn't read the last part of your post :p

CPU: Intel i5-2320 @ 3.9gHz

GPU: MSI GTX 670 PE @ 1411/7387

I wanna go fast! :P

It is worth having for Quicksync video encoding only,

In games it causes way too many problems, it tends to boost the fps in parts of the games that are already running really well that don't need it, but has no impact on performance when the game is struggling to maintain fps at 60 and above when it really needs the boost.

I also found lots of graphic glitches too, and caused a few games to crash or not even load, when i tested it.

The virtual sync (ie running over monitor refresh rates, without tearing) doesn't really work either.

The worst part is, They now want you to pay for it.

Avoid unless you really need quicksync
