Windows 8.1 won't boot? Please Help!

Go to solution Solved by mcmad358,

I reinstalled windows 8.1 pro, and ran memtest86 5.01 and it was a bad stick of ram..... in process of rmaing it right now.

So I have been getting a good amount a blue screen lately, mostly memory management and stuff like that. In fact, I got five or more just today alone. My problem now is that I was on Google Chrome, and it started saying He's dead Jimmy and the other chrome message and wouldn't stop and then I got a blue screen saying memory_management. After it tried restarting, it kept getting quick little blue screens and it would be in a restart loop. Until after about 3 loops, it went to a page that said Windows Couldn't Start or something like that. I try to restart it, sometimes it just goes black after post. Currently I'm at a page saying Recovery with the options See advanced repair options, ND Restart my pc. I tried to boot in same mode but it just force restarted. Please help

Look, if you want to format a PC to remove the virus you need to delete everything make a back up on exterlan HDD of files you need.

anyway, i see you are not familiar to formating, try downloading Malwarebytes its free and good, just install run the scaner and uninstall again!

You are getting this messege? right?

So the problem here is you are runing out of RAM !

try this press CTRL + SHIFT + ESC, that opens the TASK MANAGER, in TASK MANAGER go to PROCESSES and press MEMORY to see what program uses the most RAM and make a screen shot..

something really f**ed up your PC.. Well without hands on i can not make a precise diagnostic of the PC, since im living 5000 miles away from you that would be hard :D

ok try to google "Windows 8 safe mode" and try to login to your PC in safe mode and try to figure out with task manager what is using your RAM, i bet its a virus, Worst case scenario you must back up all your dataa and install windows fresh, if you have not done it before please see some youtube videos about installing windows and be carefull about partitions! but in the end you will learn something new and thats whats awesome about PCs :D

Does your internet work in Safe mode? download https://www.malwarebytes.org/ and run the Scan.. see if there are any viruses

I'm on wifi so no Internet. Also my task manager isn't opening despite me clicking it. It says Microsoft Windows :the application is not responding. Do you want to end this process?

When your in Windows Safe mode back up all your personal files you what kept on a USB stick or a external HHD, when that's done you will be safe to install/refresh your computer.

Do you have your Windows 8/8.1 product key as you will need it to create a install USB.

You will need to find a windows 8/8.1 ISO file on the net, try here http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows-8/upgrade-product-key-only

Download and run it put in your product key and follow the instructions to create your bootable usb or CD.

This will let you install windows 8/8.1 from fresh or do a refresh of your computer when it starts to play up again.

NOTE: the boot USB  can only have this files, anything else will be deleted
