Devils Canyon or Broadwell

Broadwell won't be coming for literally another year, so if you can wait that long then I suggest you do.

Who knows when will desktop Broadwell hits the shop. It could be Q1 or Q2 next year. If you can wait....well.

 

I think the more relevant question is, how urgent you need a new PC.

 

Or you can build a new PC now. When finally Broadwell becomes available, you can sell the Haswell chip and replace it with Broadwell. Z97 motherboard works with both Haswell and Broadwell, so...

i would say get a devils canyon cpu becasue it wont be that different in performance, like mostly temps and power draw

Honestly, I would be thinking of right now, not the future, Broadwell is still quit aways away from coming out, If you want to do a build soon, i would jump all over Devils Canyon and a year  or so down the line, if you still feel that you want broadwell, up grade the CPU then.

If I buy from micro center I save like 100 bucks so I could pretty much get 100% back if I sell a month before
