I’m planing a nas/jellyfin build with an intel a series gpu (a380 most likely). Is it an advantage to get an intel cpu with a igpu (was looking at a i3 12100 (169aud) or 14100(188aud)) or do I not need the igpu if that was the case then I was looking at i5 12400f (209aud)

or I found a 14500t on marketplace (250aud but could knock it down I think)

i would also be looking at running some game servers on the machine as well

thanks all

If you ever intent to virtualize your environment, if you pass a dGPU to a VM, you won't be able to use it for local display out (for debugging, etc.). If you have the iGPU, you can use that instead to get local display.

Not a hard necessity, but a nice-to-have, IMO.

Not familiar with the currency but those prices seem high, would you have any options with a Core Ultra CPU instead?

Ah, I see.

Hmm. I guess just a case of hunting around for the best deal then.

FYI: 13400, 14400, 12600K are roughly the same CPU (6 P-Cores, 4 E-Cores), except only the 12600K gets the UHD 770 (so does 13500, 14500).

12500 and 12600 get UHD 770, but don't have the 4 E-Cores.
