Hi!

I've had this issue for quite some time now, and I can't wrap my head around it.
The "repair version" update has failed every time it has tried to install.

So far, I have tried reinstalling using both the ISO and the Windows Media Creation Tool (while keeping files and programs), but both failed with some unknown error. I also used Hiren's Boot repair tools, but that didn't help either.

The usual sfc /scannow and similar commands didn't fix anything (who would have guessed, huh?).

Any help would be much appreciated!

Did you try the DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth(run as admin) ?

Finally, can't you try without keeping programs ?

Yeah, it did nothing.
I could do a fresh install, but it would be a nightmare to set everything up again, so I’d like to try any other possible fix first.
