For rendering and media encoding, you'll be better off with Intel. And do you absolutely need those 96GB?

you don´t need a $400 motherboard and 7200MHz expensive memory for ryzen cpu
(7000MHz and above actually makes sense if you buy intel , but for ryzen the 6000MHz cl30 expo memory kits are the most cost effective)
9850X3D is the best gaming CPU but in terms of a workstation PC there are better and cheaper options -
like (already mentioned) core 7 265K or ryzen 9900X

Rank your usecase from highest priority to least priority.

Also what gpu are you using.

That will allow us to evaluate if tjis is a good or bad combo.

Also what do you have now?

The x3d is an 8 core focused on gaming it will do the tasks you want well too but obviously a 9900x or if lucky a 7950x and such will be faster in all other tasks except gaming.

ram is garbage prices atm so it will just suck

Board is expensive and doesnt have to be

Hmm 96GB is a lot of RAM, and, I think you'd be better off getting DDR5-6000 with CL30 instead of CL40 latency for AMD CPUs. Also that mobo seems a bit overkill

AMD Ryzen™ 5 5600g w/ Radeon Graphics | 16GB DDR4-3200 RAM | 256GB NVME SSD + 2TB HDD | Amazon Basics 2.0 Speakers
