I purchased a 5080 and upgraded my system last November and everything has been great. I do notice however that my screen will occasionally black out for a second or two, then come back on. It can happen on both monitors, but seems to only do it one at a time from what I've seen. I have not changed my DisplayPort cables, and everything is new with updated drivers. Full spec lists below:

CPU: 9800x3D

MOBO: Asus B650E-E Wifi

GPU: PNY Geforce RTX 5080

RAM: Klevv 64 GB DDR5

I believe I've narrowed down drivers not being an issue - I would like to narrow down if this is an issue with other components, simple cable, etc. to ensure I can RMA if needed, or if I need to update something to be monitored on the HWInfo64 side of things. Any help is appreciated - thanks.

Does the error persist on a bootable Linux USB? I have had similar issues due to corrupt Windows files. I was able to temporarily fix it for a couple days by running "sfc /scannow" in CMD. You might also want to run a memtest86 for a couple hours, but I'm not sure that would be much of an issue (I got this idea from the Linus Torvalds video, where he says most Windows issues are RAM.) I hope that you don't have to go through a RMA. Good luck!

So...... you should try that.

Them not being a problem before means nothing - cables break when you move and use them. I can't tell you how easy it is to give an HDMI cable problems by just bending and twisting it a couple times. Display port cables like to break when you take them out and plug them back into things over and over - or sometimes just once lol. It is what it is but I wouldn't bother trying anything without at least having tried a new cable

I purchased basically a whole brand new system last November and get the occasional black screen on one monitor from time to time, only fort a couple of seconds but enough to notice. What can I do to help diagnose this? I downloaded Hwinfo64 prior but not sure what to look for. I haven't changed the monitor or Displayport cable in probably 5-6 years so wondering if that's the issue.

System Specs:

CPU: 9800x3D

MOBO: Asus Tuf Gaming B650E-E Wifi

RAM: Klevv 64GB DDR5

GPU: PNY 5080

Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU bmiprz
