Been daily driving my Samsung A52s for 5 years and am about to get a new phone. My budget is MYR2000 (USD510) and my use cases are mostly gacha games and social media. Camera is not a concern as long as its not potato quality. The battery and the UI are my main concerns.

I've been recommended the Realme GT7 at this budget but I would like to hear any insights regarding this recommendation/any other recommended models.

Cheers

samsung A56 is actually a really good phone, we started to buy them where i work as "work smartphones" they are actually pretty good battery side and slimmer then the A55. if you're into samsung and don't mind having a "older" phone you probably can find even an S23 for a good price or even an S24 refurbished.

i don't know if it fits your budget but if you want some more "gaming oriented" redmagic made the redmagic 10 AIR, it's i think 1 year old but it's a pretty nice powerhouse of a phone, it might be a bit over budget though

How happy have you been with your A52? If you've been content, then an A56 will likely do the trick.

The Realme GT 7 would be solid; I would also consider the Xiaomi 15T (I've tried the 15T Pro) as it's well-built and pretty capable.

It's a bit difficult for some of us outside of Malaysia to make recommendations as certain phones are available there that aren't here, and vice versa. I'd love to point.you to the Google Pixel 9a (soon 10a) but it isn't available in your country.

The Redmagic lineup has actually been in my consideration but I'm worried about the UI/Android update it gets. Have read some pretty bad reviews about redmagic os. Otherwise I might have actually gone for a redmagic phone.

The only thing holding me back from committing to the GT7 is the battery, saw people complaining on reddit about bad SOT's even though it has a 7000maH battery. But seems like with my budget that's the only valid choice I could go for I guess.

i bought the redmagic 11 pro 16/512 at launch, the support IS AWFUL as the reviews says, they offer only a refund option and you have to push for a 100% refund otherwise you end up without the full refund because they want you to pay for sending the phone to them, i had quite a fight but in the end i bought in amazon.

so far though the phone is very responsive and works more then fine, it's still a new build so for now there's some hiccups but to be honest nothing to worry about at least for now, the 10 series though should be pretty mature but i haven't seen much

to me if i had to choose for a budget phone either a google pixel as @Commodus suggested or an a56, both are amazing phones for the budget
