Hi there,

Looking for some help with ROG phone 5S, have done a tear down to replace front and back glass, all was going fine but I snapped one of the ribbon cables, after ordering replacement cable and new battery because why not, have put back together and it won't boot, I'm certain the mother/daughter board is getting power and it's a new screen, just doesn't seem to want to power on or even say it is charging, any help would be greatly appreciated!

IMO, bring it to a phone repair shop

does it vibrate when you keep pressing the power on? did you put your phone in charge? sometimes the batteries that you receive are not charged up, i usually leave 2 to 3 hours the phone in charge after i've swapped the battery with a new one

No Vibrations at all, could feel the batteries warm up a bit on charge, so they are charging for sure.

it shows no responsiveness when pressing or holding the power button at all.

keep the phone in charge for some hours, if the screen works it should display an indication that the battery is charging or is fully charged

of course, ALWAYS KEEP AN EYE ON THE PHONE because if the charging board of the phone is damaged it will get pretty toasty and it might not turn out in a very nice situation
